Rajinikanth’s 2.0 creates all India record

Baahubali now has a contemporary and also a competitor. Superstar Rajinikanth and Shankar’s 2.0 movie has just sidelined the Rajamouli’s epic in satellite business. Not just Baahubali, in fact 2.0 has beaten the likes of Aamir Khan too in the satellite market. Officially, 2.0 is now the highest deal ever in Indian TV history. Zee group has bought the biggie’s all languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) satellite rights for an unbelievable price of 110cr.

Such a humongous price doesn’t really surprise us as the film has Rajinikanth and Shankar who are big names down south and there is Akshay Kumar who can pull Hindi TRP. So, it’s a deserved deal.

Lyca Productions is producing this prestigious project on a scale of 350cr – 400cr budget. Amy Jackson is the female lead in this high budgeted scientific thriller scheduled for a Diwali 2017 release in 3D. In other news, the first teaser of 2.0 is expected to get unvieled in mid April.
