What’s it about :

Sekhar (Dr.Rajasekhar) is an NIA (National Investigation Agency) agent who is honest to his duties. His wife Swathi (Pooja) is unhappy with his professional life anyhow, for obvious reasons. The film is mostly based on screenplay over a story which deals with narcotics, arms and ammunition to bomb blasts. The screenplay is all about how Sekhar and his NIA team chased down every mystery protecting this nation.

Artists and Performances :

The angry young man Rajasekhar is back with a bang. He has chosen a tailor-made role for himself. Although he looks bit odd romancing Pooja Kumar, when he gets back into the shoes of an officer, he looks absolutely fine. As usual, the dubbing from Sai Kumar added the typical flavor to Rajasekhar’s body language and attitude. Pooja Kumar gets a noticeable role as a wife. She is beautiful. Shraddha Das has limited space in the screenplay as a reported. She did her part well and good. Nassar is good and so does the baddie Yakub Bhai.

Technical Talk :

You have to pay a huge respect for every technician involved in this movie. You will awestruck to realize that they have pulled off such a quality product with a budget over 20cr. The cinematography is not just brilliant, it’s above the standards of Telugu Cinema. The DI work and cinematography is what we haven’t seen in any of the thrillers that ever played on Telugu screens. Background score is top notch. One has to fall short of words for what Sreecharan has brought into the screenplay. Production values are super rich. You can see every penny on the frame. Editing in the first half is super engaging. But it gets slightly loosen in the second half.

Analysis :

Respect for the director, actor and most importantly to the producer. Who could have thought this for a comeback movie? This film is what we expected Spyder to be. Praveen Sattaru will go places. He directed 5 films till now, no film in the same genre and he handled the action thing way much better than directors who are known for action thrillers. The coding and decoding, action blocks which are part of the story, Charminar episode, the larger than life climax sequence and we can add few more to that. PSV Garuda Vega is an experience which every Telugu movie lover should experience. With some flaws, we have gotten a bond style flick finally.

Plus Points :

* Racy Screenplay
* Rajasekhar
* Action episodes
* Technical values

Minus Points :

* Narration issues in the second half
* few mishit scenes

Brief Note :

Garuda Vega is what Spyder should have been

Rating : 3.25/5
