Last Sankranthi, it was different. Balakrishna’s film “Gautamiputra Satakarni” was a hot cake for the distributors. Like never before, the Krish directorial went on raking 47-48 cr from the sale of theatrical rights. This was the highest pre release business ever done in Balakrishna’s career. But this Sankranthi hasn’t been in good terms.
Jai Simha looks unexciting for the distributors. The film is still unsold in Nizam are. When producer quoted 4.5 cr as a price, there was very low response. Now C Kalyan is releasing the film on his own in Telangana. The same is with Karnataka. Producer quoted 1.4cr for the rights. Manjunath films came forward to bag the film initially but they went off from the deal, reports say. So again, it would be an own release in Karnataka too. Not a great news for NBK fans. Let’s see if the film earns a good talk and recovery for C.Kalyan.
Jai Simha has Nayanatara in the female lead. Hari Priya is another leading lady in this K.S.Ravi Kumar directorial. The film is set for Sankranthi clash with Agnyaathavaasi and has been slated for January 12th release.
