2 point 0 is doing what Baahubali did to Tamil films. The might of Baahubali was so huge that it ate up hype, release dates and also business of many Tamil films. If there is anything parallel to the biggest film franchise in India, it’s Shankar’s Robo series. This dubbing film is no lesser to any Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan or Mahesh Babu movie in Telugu market. If we are not harsh, it’s bigger than what we are expecting.
This all of sudden change in release date is causing serious troubles for the units of Bharath Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya – Naa Illu India. Both have announced April 27th as release date and were in talks for a compromise. But this Rajinikanth starrer landed from nowhere. Although Bunny Vaas stated that they would still stick to the same date, the other investor in the project, Lagadapati Sridhar has reportedly informed the distributors that Allu Arjun’s next will now release on May 11 and plan theaters according to that.
So Bunny is clearly preferring but business over ego. What about Mahesh Babu? Will he change his mind too?
